Chronic Pain
Acute pain that is poorly managed can lead to chronic pain. Chronic pain is typically considered a complex condition which involves physical, psychological, and psychosocial factors, and which contributes to a reduced quality of life. It is now well established that the endocannabinoid system plays an important role in the modulation of pain states. . .

Alcohol & Opioids
There is increasing interest in the use of cannabis as a substitute for alcohol, opioids and other drugs, including illicit drugs, both in terms of decreasing drug withdrawal symptoms associated with abstinence from such drugs, but also in the context of decreasing some of the health risks associated with use of these drugs. . .
WHAT IS MEDICINAL CANNABIS?
Cannabinoid Medicines confidently offers pain management cannabis treatment. Cannabinoid based medicines contain naturally occurring cannabinoids (THC, CBD) and are manufactured for medicinal use in humans. These preparations are regulated as a medicinal product, or an ingredient of such a product.
Cannabis has many active chemical constituents, two of which have been investigated the most in respect of their medicinal value: tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and cannabidiol (CBD).
THC is the major psychoactive constituent of cannabis and responsible for giving the so called “high” to users. CBD on the other hand, is not psychoactive, and is thought to have an anti-psychoactive effect that moderates the ‘high’ caused by the THC. In addition to being cannabis treatment for pain, CBD is also believed to reduce some of the other negative effects of THC, such as anxiety. . .
ABOUT US
In July 2016 Seagrave Healthcare Ltd opened up a clinic in Central London, bringing together over 30 years of clinical excellence in treating mental health and addiction related problems through medical cannabis treatment.
Given the growing demand from patients and families, from December 2019 we started offering cannabinoid based medicines to those in critical need who have been referred by their consultant. We have been visiting medicinal cannabis clinics and manufacturing facilities in Canada, where these products are prescribed for well over 500,000 patients.
Our expertise in treating complex pain and addictions, our commitment to innovation (as noted in our 2019 CQC inspection report) along with our extensive clinical and academic track record, have made us a centre of excellence for treating conditions that do not respond to traditional medication or surgical interventions.
Our medical cannabis treatment programme uses an interdisciplinary team approach, customising evidence-based treatments to support each individual’s unique capacity to thrive and be able to live a fully functional lifestyle. This approach results in positive outcomes for patients suffering from complex conditions and disorders that are not responsive to traditional medical approaches. We are dedicated to treating the whole person with bespoke care plans, usually within share care arrangements with the referring consultant.
Our team is led by Dr Oscar D'Agnone, MD, MRCPsych, Consultant Psychiatrist, member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists, regulated by the Care Quality Commission, and compliant with the General Medical Council code of Good Medical Practice. Dr D'Agnone is Medical Director of Cannabinoid Medicines.
Cannabinoid Medicines is based in Belgravia, one of London's most exclusive boroughs, less than 5 minutes walk from Victoria station. Let’s discuss cannabis treatment for pain management today.
